Impact of Encapsulation on Plantlet Regeneration from in vitro Grown Shoot tips of Citrus aurantifolia (Lime)

In order to conserve diverse species of citrus, an experiment on in vitro micropropagation and production synthetic seeds from regenerated plant propagules the species; Citrus aurantifolia (Lime) was carried out which shoot tips were found be suitable for excapsulation artificial seeds. Highest rate germination obtained when MS supplemented with 1 mg/l BAP. Beaded produced maximum (81.43%). Germinated well established roots shoots taken culture bottles transferred plastic cups containing a mixture sterile soil: sand farmyard manure at ratio 1:1:1. Seedlings further shifted earthen pots kept partial shed net house 7 days. Those seedlings finally under field conditions acclimatization.
